Painted Dreams is the title of the first radio soap opera, which began its run in 1930. Part soap, part personal essay, the project mixes video performance & installation to explore the ongoing parallel world of feminist serials.
"A collection of prose pieces troubling the lines between audience and celebrity, where Jean-Claude Van Damme collides with Adorno and "the real" blurs into Kristen Stewart"

#the flag we love
For one year, Gone took a photo of every flag they saw - every ad, every mural, every t-shirt. Drawing on figures from Buzz Aldrin to Colin Kaepernick, the performance/installation collages recordings of national anthems, the children's book "The Flag We Love," and historical research to explore what is essentially America’s logo, in all its forms, examining how all of these nationalist reminders signify tentative community & aestheticize control.

Excerpts from #TheFlagWeLove
The Today Show beams the news onto millions of screens every morning, delivered by its anchors, 'America's First Family.' In TODAY, that family falls apart: live, in a script that collages verbatim television segments with news articles, interviews, criticism, and dance sequences. News is vulnerable. News is human. News is theater.

FAST FIVE calls attention to the gap between blockbuster film and underground stage, between massive budget and zero budget. Using a script built from scripts, movie reviews, and found recordings, FAST FIVE relishes in chases, camp, and over-the-top fight scenes, while dropping the sexism, heteronormativity, and gear-head culture.
